The Nexus 5 can do 7.5 hours video before the battery dies. Much more than the 2 or 3 hours you are suggesting. I think the people who are having problems are the ones using LTE. I only use 3G and get great battery life.

Have you tried turning off auto brightness? I find that it is brighter on auto than my old HTC One.

Does music play through the speakers on bluetooth? On my old HTC One and Parrot handsfree, audio for satnav only worked when music was playing. I need to try my Nexus 5 next time I use my car.

My Nexus 5 has been on 4h 48min. I have 3 push emails accounts active, have made a 15 minute phone call, and browsed the internet and app store. It is currently at 92% with WiFi and Bluetooth turned on. With about 3 hours of use with the screen on, it's usually has about 50% left after 16...

I have the same problem with my Parrott handsfree and Nexus 5. My girlfriend said it sounded like I was talking in a tunnel. She sounded fine from my end. I don't think we can do anything to fix it though. Google will need to fix their Bluetooth drivers.
