Nice find! I can also confirm it works on Your-Mom-Rom. I have ADWLauncher EX, and was able to add the shortcut to my home screen via long press | Custom shortcut | Pick your activity | Activities | com.lge.LgHiddenMenu | ServicesLG(.Lg_hidden_main). I wonder if the DUN NAI setting this secret...

At this point you may be better off just reverting to stock and starting from.scratch. Can you still boot into recovery? (either from adb or with key combo)

Once you root your phone, you should be able to use the free wifi tether app, you shouldn't need a custom ROM if you don't want. Though for what it's worth, I found my phone to be much faster on YOUR-MOM-ROM than stock. Hope this helps.
