    Pixel 3 / 3 XL - Share your setup/homescreen(s) here!

Nova Launcher. Dockbar and relative distance from dockbar and homescreen icons/page-indicator are a bit different because I chose the settings to make the Dock Bar an Overlay which auto hides, and can be toggled by a gesture. And I still stick to stock icons. They work for me and don't really...

    Getting pixel 3 XL soon

If you want RCS support, then you're pretty much limited to the Messages app. AFAIK the only other SMS app that supports RCS is Samsung's messaging app which you won't have since you just moved away from Sammy. But that information was based on mid December info. So take 3-4 month old info with...

Burn in is still a thing.

Have you considered using a 3rd party launcher? I've never been a fan of Google's launcher. If you use Nova Launcher, which I myself insist on for my use, then you can set the Dockbar settings to auto hide, and bring it back with a simple gesture. My dockbar automatically hides whenever an app...

Casting/Mirroring Device to TV. Amazon Prime Video casts sound but not video.

Day 3 of owning my Pixel 3XL. I love it. It's a great device. However I ran into a hiccup... I'm used to using the Google Home app to mirror my device to cast Amazon Prime Videos to my bedroom televsion that has a Chromecast attached to it (main television in the living room is a smart-tv so I...

Why is my Pixel 3 XL is not alerting me when I get a incoming calls

I've seen this happen on a couple of different models/brands. It typically happens when the Phone or Contacts app is updated, but for some reason the service triggers aren't reset. So when a call comes in, the service listener is looking for the older version of the app because it doesn't know a...

Are there any decent Active Stylus/Pens available for the Pixel 3/3xl?

I've kept my Note 5 for 3 1/2 years now. Was holding off for the Pixel 4 XL, but unfortunately my battery has now degraded to a point that there's no way to get through the whole day without having to recharge. So I decided to pull the trigger on an upgrade. I decided to go with the 3 XL, but...

Really odd issue calling between two Android Phones.

K, here's a stumper that I just can't seem to resolve... Between my son and myself, both of us having Android devices, I'm on a Note 5 and He's on a Turbo 2. Whenever we're both at home, and he wants to contact from the 1st floor and I'm on the 3rd, he'll often just try to call me instead of...

    How to reset pin

From a web browser from a pc/laptop, go to https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager. After you log in to your Google account, select the device you wish to locate (if you have multiple devices), it will then locate your phone (may take a minute). Once found you'll see 3 options, Ring...

How can I turn my Google Play Service back on?

Google Play Services doesn't have an On/Off toggle. Either it's installed, or it isn't. If it's installed, then it's turned on and working. There's no on or off switch. Google Play Services can be installed via the Google Play Store at...

    one question about multiple users

Yeah it can. That's why if I were to get one now, I'd set it up with a newly created generic Google account for the household to use.

    one question about multiple users

The problem is that wouldn't be secure at all. All it would take would be for somebody to record you speak your trigger/wake word, and use the playback to access your account. Teenage kids will be really quick to figure that one out.

Pixel phones boot loader and security issue

Google Store phones are only unlocked in the sense that they're SIM unlocked, meaning that they're not tied to a specific carrier so that you can use it on whatever network you wish. It doesn't mean that the bootloader is unlocked. You have to intentionally and purposefully unlock the bootloader...
