To wirelessly tether you want to go here Downloads - android-wifi-tether - Wireless Tether for Root Users - Google Project Hosting and download v3.0-pre14. It seems to work the best for me. Barnacle works as well. I have both but like wifi tether best.

This sounds like the problem I had. I went back through the whole data wipe/factory reset process and reinstalled everything again and now my contacts are fine. It also fixed some lagging I had going from landscape to portrait and some FC's and some SOD's. So the reinstall process worked great...

The app TuneIn Radio has an alarm feature that you can use to start your favorite radio station which is pretty cool and has worked well but if your data wasn't available for some reason I don't know if it would replace the missing data with an alarm beep.

I have had these alarm problems as well and have had to delete the alarm entry and reenter it and then it worked fine.

I seem to have not had a SOD since I removed my widgets that updated themselves, weather, scores, etc. So, maybe if you are experiencing SOD you could try removing those live widgets and see if that helps you.

So, did you use ODIN to install CWM_All earlier at a PC? How was that installed? You want to make sure that you are not using CWM_Froyo which is the same build number. You can use these instructions to install CWM_All without using ODIN. Installing from older versions of clockwork only...
