The NFC transceiver on the 6P is at the top of the phone. So, for example, using Android Beam with my Nexus 5, the top of the 6P needs to be against the middle of the 5. If you center the phones on each other, it doesn't work at all.

Nexus 6P (128GB, LTE, Graphite), ordered Sep 29, 2015 1:21 EDT. Leaves warehouse by October 27. Delivery by 30–3rd. Nothing yet (still pending, card not yet charged). Suspect Google has gone looking for where they left that flux capacitor. Either that, or I'll be getting an order delayed email...

It's under settings, Language & Input. Changing "Language" (the first setting) changes the system language. I quickly switched to one of the non-English ones, and it appears to work; can't be completely sure as I don't speak it...
