This would be great, except it's not a feature of the photo editor / gallery, it's the email app, and a lot of people including myself don't use the stock email app, so there is literally no other alternative than to install a 3rd party image resizer I don't want to change the rez of my camera...

If you can't find an app to do it, all I can think is to flash another ROM, but iirc, Verizon lock their bootloaders, so that might not be so easy either There are guides on XDA, but I'm in the UK and my bootloader is already unlocked, so I can't help any further with that, sorry
