Okay so the phone is now in boot mode I think, it has the 4 dots on the screen in funky colors and this yellow line going across them Also,, I just realized, my phone's bootloader is unlocked (there's the "unlocked" lock at the bottom of the screen earlier. Wonder if that is what's causing this?

Okay so I just saw the video, but the problem is, when you press volume up + power, it won't take you into recovery mode, it just goes straight to the Erasing dialogue. There are a few others with the same problem as me on other phones as well, and they said sometimes it takes 1-2 hours...

So I tried to reset my phone to factory because it was lagging really badly, like once every hour of use and it got hella annoying... Then, it said "Erasing..." with the blue ball in the Android's stomach, but then after a while, like 10 minutes, it changed to an Android laying on its side...

The N5 is kinda dated now, compared to the newest phones, that have better hardware and screens, so imo, I would pick up a used Nexus 4, for around $150-$200, and just use that until November ish, when the next Nexus or Android Silver phones come out, and besides, the N4 is still a beast of a...

Strange... I'm rooted so it must be that but I use Google Play Music All Access and I can skip songs like that, I also use the paid version of Poweramp, and it allows me to do that as well. I think Poweramp has a trial, so you could try that out, or try Google Play Music. I always thought this...

battery life is battery life, phones dont last forever, but each and every phone has its own limit. I've had my Nexus since November 16th, and from Nov 16 till December 31st I didnt do anything to it but leave it stock. Back then I had amazing battery life, I mean when I use my N4 it gets me...

This happened to my Nexus 4 last year, (got it RMAed because it was a huge inconvenience since I use my phone a lot), I suggest you do the same, it didn't go away for a week, I did all the cache clearing, app uninstalls, and even reset my device, twice, in a week, after setting it up both times...

Re: Blown away by performance! Well my phone gets around 4 hours of screen on time with auto brightness, sometimes it gets 5 hours, but I rarely leave the screen on for long periods of time. I usually have music streaming through Poweramp, I'm not sure if this uses power, but my headphones are...

Hey guys, so I tried installing BBM after rooting my N5, and it says not compatible with your device, but I had it on my N5 before I rooted it... I'm running Paranoid Android OFFICIAL 4.4.2, I can download the APK I think, but anyone know why? :'(

Re: my nexus 5 died and it wont turn on is the phone rooted? also, when you tried pressing power + volume, did you press and HOLD volume up + volume down + power, or just volume up + power, or volume down + power? To boot into start up menu you have to hold down volume up + volume down + power...
