    USB C cable recommendations?

I purchased mine from Monoprice. I've had no issues with them in any of my cars. Monoprice Essentials 3.1 USB-C to USB-A Gen 2, 3A, 10 Gbps, 1m (3.3ft)

    Android auto question

The truck also has to be in park (and maybe parking brake on) to get the keyboard when you tap. Otherwise it is voice entry only.

Incompatible USB on my pioneer avh4200nex when I try to connect my Note4??

Android Auto only works on USB2. USB1 is for Apple and firmware updates.

A few issues, wondering if they are fixable?

I'm not sure I've ever done that. Tomorrow morning I'll try it (assuming I remember of course :D ).

A few issues, wondering if they are fixable?

I have both the 4100NEX and the 4200NEX. The art on both is not very good. It looks better when not on the music screen. My personal opinion.. Who cares? I'm not watching the screen. FWIW, I don't use Google Music so I assume it is the same across all music apps. Not sure about the art...

Android Auto BUGS thread! Let's talk about the bugs...

With the AA screen active, turn the volume up or down. You will notice an 'alerts' volume button on the right side of the screen. Touch that and adjust the volume up or down. This will adjust the volume of MAPS and other AA alerts.

    Extended scrolling in AA update?

This update broke extended scrolling for me. It used to work when I was in park. Since the update my NEX 4100/Galaxy S7 no longer knows I'm in park.

New version of Android Auto version 2.0.642304-release

How is this different then the other "Car Home" apps in the market (or the original Car Home app from Google)? The thing that make AA better is how it works through my existing stereo. No need to put my phone on top of my dash. And no need to be limited to only listening to music on the phone...

Are there ANY other music apps that integrate with Android Auto?

That's probably less than 1000 albums. That is not too difficult to acquire over a few decades...

Android Auto - nav/music use cases

I can't answer directly about the iPods, but it seems likely. I can listen to any input on my 4100 and have Navigation up and running. I have tested with an SD card and USB stick (as well as SiriusXM, FM radio, and CD). My workaround: I use Subsonic and DSUB to load music on my phone (it...

What are your top MUSIC apps for Android Auto?

Do you have a Subsonic server running? If so, you will need to purchase DSUB from the Play Store. Then all you have to do is get it working on your phone and it will show up as an option in AA.

    Suggestions for aftermarket HU?

Before replacing the HU try some different cables. I had major issues with my S7 before I figured out that the long cable I was using was causing the problem. My LG G4 worked most of the time but I bet it would have been perfect with a decent cable. Shorter seems to be better. Or use the...

    listening to FM

While the interface is not integrated, you can still listen to XM or FM while getting all of the benefits of AA (voice still works). At least with my Pioneer 4100 I can change channels without switching the interface back to the radio.

Verizon Galaxy S7 NOT working with Android Auto ...

Try different cables. I believe the shorter ones will be better (based past experience with chargers and mounts). I can't say for sure what will work other than the ones I have tried...
