Re: AT&T is starting shipments
Mine just updated as well. For me it is ground service from Ft. Worth to Houston and is scheduled to arrive by end of day tomorrow (3/8).
I noticed the same thing, and had the same disappointment. Hopefully something that gets updated as we go along, but not something I'm going to hold my breath for...
Now I'm looking around trying to get more infomation about this, and I can't even find the app on my phone again. Don't see it in the App drawer, nor any hooks to it in settings, contacts, or the dialer.
Ideas?
I just saw a message 'welcoming' me to City ID after I got off of a call.
Is this something that's going to show up on my AT&T bill as though I implicitly intended pay for it?
:-\
Looks fishy to me...
Re: AT&T Oct. 2 Release: No inventory in the stores. Preorder onl
The guy at Bestbuy was SHOCKINGLY helpful. He transfered the unlimited data plan, and actually pointed out that at my average usage, I should be on a cheaper minute plan. Saved me $20 /month.
I don't think I'll be back in an...
Re: AT&T Oct. 2 Release: No inventory in the stores. Preorder onl
No stock at my store on 290 @ Mangum, with some lame story about wanting to promote upcomming LTE devices in this market (cough, iphone 5, cough).
Did get one of the two devices at the Bestbuy up the street. Happily playing...
Anandtech had a pretty thoughtful review of the International SGSII. The linked page is the conclusion, including some discussion about battery life. Not the best across the board, but better than a lot of the competition out there...
I seem to remember this was the case with the Captivate too. I remember it being a VERY soft launch for AT&T compared with the other carriers, and there being very little concrete confirmation that the phones would be in stores until a day or two before they came out.
If they don't surface...
I hope the 18th is accurate! I waited until the 30th day, and returned my recently purchased Infuse 4g on Saturday.
I'll be stuck with an old bberry bold 9000 until whenever the "Attain" starts living up to it's name...
I would really appreciate seeing how you went about this, step-by-step. I'm a pretty smart guy, but I'm concerned that I'll get half-way through the process and realize that I've skipped something really simple (but important).
I'd just like to see EXACTLY how somebody has successfully applied...
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned SwiftKey Beta yet.
I've been using it for about a week and I'm really starting to like it. I like that it's learning the word-isms I use, and how I punctuate things...
I do wish it would incorporate the arrow keys somewhere though...
Coming from a bold 9000 I'm missing the indicator lights - wonder if a custom rom could allow the soft buttons along the bottom edge to slowly blink to indicate a waiting notification?
Same thing for me - I had VV setup on my Blackberry and I had to talk to a Rep to get standard voicemail put back on my account. No cost, and it took 5 minutes - pretty painless...
There's a well known dead spot on my way home from work - I haven't had occasion to be on the phone there yet, but I'll make a point to make some calls in the next couple of days...
