Same problem here. Verizon Note 4 stock ROM, Lollipop. The only way to "snap" the phone out of it is to restart. Also, I noticed it happens only after the phone is charged to 100%. If removed before - problem does not manifest itself. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

Maybe there are more apps compatible with 4.2/4.3 than with 4.4? I assume 4.4 apps are backwards compatible, but 4.2/4.3 is much more widely used so far. So developers go with 4.2/4.3 version for now.

Or they can convert Gear 2 to Google Wear OS, just like they are converting original Gear to Tizen now. I am not an expert in firmware, though. Can Gear 2 be programmed to run on Google Wear, anybody knows?
