Check your IEMI and SIM #'s with your carrier. I have two phones that were affected by the Marshmallow upgrade. Both IEMI and SIM's were changed somehow and ATT had completely different #'s. They put a new SIM in and corrected the IEMI in their records and everything works.

I am getting the same thing. Nexus 5. Happened right after upgrading to Marshmallow. Can't get rid of it. All the previous fixes I could find on the internet don't work or apply.

Re: Unfortunately Google Hangouts has stopped Forgot to mention I did that also. This has started since i downloaded 5.1 (as well as on my wife's phone who also has this happening). We use 8sms and have Hangouts completely disabled, cache and data cleared. Why would I get notifications that...
