Finally received my 2014 Moto X, and will confirm that connecting a Power Pack Micro via the Connect app and without actual bluetooth pairing does indeed offer up the PP as a Trusted Bluetooth device. For whatever reason this feature is not (yet) enabled for the 2013 models.
