Thanks, chomp SMS seems like a good alternative so far. I noticed it mentioned advertisements, but I haven't seen any yet. Are they going to suddenly start popping up in the middle of my messages or something?

Actually these problems began when I did a factory reset :X I think rooting the phone in the first place screwed up a lot of stuff, because certain things don't get reverted even with a factory reset, like APN settings for example.

Hi, Not sure what's up with this problem but every time I get a text from an iPhone, it comes as MMS, though there is no attachment (it appears as an audio or blank video recording of 2-3 seconds in length though). Has anyone encountered this and know of a solution?

Hi, Ever since the last Android update, I've only been able to send 160 character limited texts. That is, the first 160 characters gets sent, but anything beyond that is just lost. The message does send successfully. Can anyone help me fix this? I'm running a stock Galaxy S3.
