I figured it out, I just needed to reboot the phone again.

I see that some ROMs are for ICS(4.0.x) and some for Ginger bread (2.3.x) If I have 2.3.7 can I still flash ICS based ROMs? I have experience flashing as I have done it on 2 of my LG Optimus and my HP Touchpad but I am just wondering about this because for some reason I am having a herp moment.

Re: [ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 12-12-2011 When I try to install the Swype Beta (had it previously) I get a market error "application did not install". This makes me very sad, without Swype all the benefits of switching to CM7 are lost on me.

both files are unzipped in the root. that link involves updating to ZVH from ZVD as the first step, doesn't that limit the ROM i can use and make it so I can't use CM7 anymore?
