LG V20. Same size as the 6p minus the AMOLED display. Removable battery and stellar HD recording are the perks. Decent display and camera. With the battery drain on the 6p and phones before it, I will never buy a nonremovable battery phone again!

One correction - the Moto X Force is the equivalent of the Droid Turbo 2 Verizon Exclusive. The Moto X Play is the equivalent of the Droid Maxx 2.

Yes on the cache clearing and no on the factory reset. The 6p is still a fine phone and has served me well since November 2015. It's just that the battery life and Doze feature aren't what they used to be.

I have the 6p (since November 2015) and I just bought the Moto Z Play. The 6p still holds its own but the battery life is deteriorating and that's why I bought the MZP. The MZP is smooth and it has double the battery life of the 6p... SOT of 8 hours 56 minutes vs. 4:23 on the 6p!

For killer battery life, I would go with the Moto Z Play. I don't think anything tops right now, battery-wise. It also has Moto mods going for it but as a standalone, it's not too shabby for a smooth and fast "Midrange" smartphone at $450 unlocked, and even less on eBay and $408 on Verizon...

I'd get a 6p if it is under $400. If not, go for the longest battery with the Moto Z Play for $450 at Motorola or $408 from Verizon.

I tested a Pixel XL at a Verizon store last week. It's wicked fast and has a really nice display. I have the 6p Aluminium on a Verizon UDP and IMHO, it just looks better than the Pixel XL. The Pixel XL is better spec-wise, but it has too much bezel going on and I don't like the 2-tone back.
