I would not say that, just b/c they have shipped them already does not mean they wont have a OTA update waiting when we first turn them on, The Palm Pre's had one that updated OTA at purchase. I'm not saying that they will, im just saying that just b/c they have shipped to the store already...

No, palm still has to send in a copy to sprint (or whatever carrier) to test before they send out the update, thats normally the part that takes the longest

A sprint phone is a sprint phone, you can take it to any sprint store, the only catch is, if you buy the best buy insurance instead of the sprint insurance you have to go through best buy for that (but even if you buy at best buy you can still get the sprint insurance, as long as you add it...

Dan Hesse already said that they were not charging more for 4g, they prolly have to put you on a new plan in there system so that you get access to the 4g system. but they will prob. charge extra for the "hot spot" feature, that wll prob be only like $10/ month like it is currently for tethering...

Well thats funny, b/c the radio shacks in the next town over HAD pre's on release day, i know someone who got it from there (but that was 30 mins away from me)

I heard the same thing about the Pre, but the only plce that had it around here on release day was bestbuy, not even the local (all indy though) sprint stores had them untill like a month later
