Definitely a little too heavy. My arm is getting bigger everyday with all the muscle I'm building. But I love the Note 8 and don't really want to return it. I guess I'll just stick with my gains.

I mean, I can see you taking it out on special occasions. And you're right, it is rated for some water usage. I just can't bring myself to test it.

Coming from the Note 5, I find it noticeably heavier. But I think I can live with it.

I really can't believe some are willing to put a nearly $1,000 phone in water.. on purpose! LOL

I just received the Note 8 this week. For me, I look at the water resistance as a feature to allow me not to stress if a few drops of water fall on the device. But I will definitely not be taking it in the shower or a pool. That's just me.

Not me but I'm curious if you have opted into the "device data collection" where your phone sends diagnostic information to them. I wonder if that is why it's causing such a drain.

I guess it depends on your specific needs. But if you want a reasonably priced tablet and you use Amazon I recommend a Fire HD 8. They even let you pay $30 a month for it.
