What I cant figure out is HOW TO REMOVE GROUPS. I had imported contacts from Outlook, and they apparently had been assigned to dozens of groups... and I've since edited all of these contacts in Outlook and unassigned them from groups and deleted the groups in Outlook. But they still show up...

The early answer is correct... Go to your list of contacts Click bottom left hard button (menu) Then select delete Then click select all and deleted them But be sure you are VIEWING all of your contacts... to do that, from list of contracts hit menu, then select CONTACTS TO VIEW then SELECT...
