Yeah, that's an old update. Been there done that a long time ago......not going to help you or tthe reboots and all of the other problems.

Certainly sounds like your sync settings have become unchecked and you need to turn them on. You're operating on manual sync. I often use the manual method when I need to save my battery. So no, it's not a crappy network or phone.
