s7 turned itself off and will not turn on

Try turning it on while plugged in?

Why is my S7 Edge charging so slowly

If it's a charging port problem, then see if there is an accumulation of dirt/debris in there. You might be able to clean it out with a toothpick a canned air.

Android and Linux vs iOS and OS X

Are you looking for photo management of editing? For editing, the gimp is the program of choice; though there will be a learning curve. For photo management, there is a plethora of choices. I'd start with what your OS flavour of choice gives you and then shop around, though I hear Shotwell and...

What version(s) are you running now?

My thoughts, too. If I had money, I'd get an SSD and install a second drive in the optical battery.

What version(s) are you running now?

Right now, I have KDE Neon as my primary (still getting settled, as its brand new install), moved from Mint 18.3 KDE, Mint 18 xfce, and I've got Kaos in there somewhere. My hard drive is a mess, though: the boot partition is too small, the partitioning otherwise is messy and I've broken a...

Device Maintenance un-formatted SD card, and might have deleted everything. How to recover?

If it's only on that card, then I'm afraid it's gone.

Device Maintenance un-formatted SD card, and might have deleted everything. How to recover?

Unfortunately, no. I was lucky in that I was backing things up pretty regularly, though I did lose some pictures on one phone.

Device Maintenance un-formatted SD card, and might have deleted everything. How to recover?

Classically, Samsung devices have had issues with non-Samsung SD cards. I've killed several cards in my Galaxy devices over the years and now I only buy Samsung memory for them. It costs more, but not a single one of them has dies on me over the past seven years.

    S7 Edge Storage issue

Or trim down your app collection. How about back everything up, do a factory reset and only reinstall those apps you have been using the most, recently?

It sounds likely that you need a new battery, though it may be the charging circuit is bad.

Is Galaxy app asking me to update an app that does not exist?

If you are using AT&T as your provider, then those were likely preloaded. If you do not use those apps, then ignore the update.

Looking for something inexpensive that vibrates notifications

If only we can find it, LOL. Right now we're looking at the Amazfit Bip, but I don't know if I want to invest $80 on a digital watch when I have such a nice Armitron mechanical watch that I've been wearing for the past year. Maybe I'll be avant garde and wear a watch on each wrist, hah!

Dang. Dngrswife lost one of those during our last move. I didn't know it vibrated though.

Looking for something inexpensive that vibrates notifications

So, I apparently dropped my See one time too many and the vibration motor is dead. I keep my phone silenced for work, so I'm looking to pair something to the phone so I can get notifications. I don't need fitness tracking or anything, just want to know when my phone is ringing or texts are...
