For what it's worth I've still never removed the protector that shipped with my OP3 and it's been about 8 months. No issues with it at all.

I wouldn't count on a price drop. In the case of the 3T it started at a bit higher price than the 3 had. The price on the 3 did not drop.

Same here - US, AT&T. On the fence about using vpn. I skipped 4.0.0 and 4.0.1, kind of eager to try this one.

I used stock for a while then tried Google Now, Nova and finally Action. Bought Action, sticking with it. I liked Google Now, didn't care for Nova myself.

Just to be clear, are you certain the apps believe you are rooted or are they complaining that you have development options enabled? My bank app prompts me for that each time I open it. I'm not rooted, but I do have dev options enabled in settings.

I've seen LTE and 4G+ show up on my OP3, from what I've read 4G+ is the more advanced "true" 4G service.

I've seen this take a day, probably less actually, for everything to complete provisioning (I'm assuming) on the carrier side before LTE is available. A reboot of the phone after it's been on a new network for an hour or so often helps. Not sure if that was helpful but wanted to point out that...
