What if you remove the nonfunctioning Xoom on the device manager and reload the Xoom USB driver?

You need a data connection for Google Maps to download map data. Without it GPS on a WiFi only Xoom can only show you where you are with a WiFi connection and a thin roof for GPS penetration. You'll be able to navigate around a room just fine. Maps would only work with constant data tether.

Documents to Go isn't working completely (see update below). I use this on my Droid X and need it for the xoom. The spreadsheets don't open right with random blocks of repeating/duplicated cells in the wrong locations. I think the word files are ok although would be nice if they optimized for...
