I think it is an LG thing, my G6 (work phone) refuses to connect with any cable to my car, every other phone I have ever plugged in works fine. My personal phone (lenovo P2) is away for a warranty repair so I dug out my olg LG G4. It worked fine with AA for one day and now refuses to connect...

I took the G6 with me on holiday to Canada and for most of the time my proper camera stayed in the bag, I just used the G6 for the majority of my shots. I don't have the money to buy a pixel 2 they may be great but they are too expensive, then add im the lack of a headphone jack and no SD card...

I got a Skoda Octavia with Android Auto too. WOrks well with my Galaxy S4 though sometimes it seems to disconnect and re connect a lot. On my Motorola Moto G 4G it says the phone is "not compatible with mirror link"
