Yeah, it seems that everyone that has a GS5 off contract is very pleased with the update. I guess I will wait it out and see what happens. I still wonder who was to blame for the S2, S3 and S4... "updates."

Ah, that's good to hear. May I ask which service provider you are on? What were the hiccups (specifically) and how did you get over them? I was beginning to think this because many others out there are having the same problem. Even people at work with S5s.

Heh, I think we would all like to know the answer to that question. Right now, the only way is to root your phone... which to me, is looking better and better.

UPDATE: Fail... so... I take back what I said... about the factory reset and cleared partition fixing everything. It was working smoothly at first but after a few weeks, it's back to no battery life and acting very sluggish. Sad, I thought that had fixed it. I am now going to re-install Android...

I think it's because you didn't first do the "Wipe Cache Partition" and then Factory Reset immediately afterwards. Initially, I just did a factory reset. Then after that, I tried clearing the cache partition but that didn't work. Still had terrible battery life and slow performance. However...
