Well, there's nothing really to disassemble, so I guess it's just toast. I assume the same logic would apply to SD cards as well? I do hope that is the problem because I was worried the dock might have done it. I've got some spare cards around to check in case I can recreate the issue...

Got one ordered! I got the alert from nowinstock.net at 5:56pm ET for newegg and tigerdirect. newegg was out by 5:58. I got my confirmation email from tiger @ 6pm. Now I just have to wait for a shipping number. Hoping they come through for me.

I was close to buying the Xoom, until I found out the transformer. I understand not wanting to chase technology, but if you hadn't bought either yet, which would your choice be? I was leaning Xoom, with a portable keyboard for when I needed it, plus the small amount of weight difference. But...
