    Do you trust Google?

For me, there are two different questions involved: Do you trust Google with your data? Do you trust Google to continue offering any particular service or product for more than 2-3 years? (Except for basic search and Gmail, of course.) My answer to both is "no."

Anyone else spooked by all these problems?

Obviously I wish my Aggies had won, but it was a great, exciting classic battle. Congrats to Vinnie Sunseri -- he made the play of the game. Hopefully Johnny will come back next year instead of declaring for the draft, but I don't know if Saban's heart can take it. 😉

Bad battery life on nexus 4

Looking forward to your full review, Phil, if a little impatiently. 😉 Sent from my The New iPad using Tapatalk

LG Nexus 4 vs Galaxy Note 2

Well, they're not in different categories as far as I'm concerned. I'm cross shopping the Note 2 and Nexus 4. After seeing and handling a Note 2, I'm confident that size isn't an issue for me. Price is also not a deciding factor for me. It really comes down to this question: would I use the...

Please tell me the Good and the Bad onthe Note 2.

Can someone please verify this? The Best Buy employee I talked to indicated that this does work, but I think he misunderstood my question. Apparently you can email or send images with drawing on them. But that's not quite what I mean. If I view a PDF on the Note 2 and write my notes directly on...

Best buy just got their note 2 demo in...

I just returned from the local Best Buy, where I spent about 15-30 minutes playing with it and talking to a Best Buy rep who has a Note and loves it. I was nearly sure that I was going to order a Nexus 4 (and still might) or get the Lumia 920 (and still might), but dammit that Note 2 is a...

Please tell me the Good and the Bad onthe Note 2.

Regarding document markup: Is the S-pen markup saved with the document file so that the markup can be viewed on any other device or computer that opens the file? If the markup is only visible on the Note 2 then I don't see the value in this feature. Sent from my The New iPad using Tapatalk

Wireless charging, who else is excited?

Definitely excited about this feature. It was one of the only truly magical features of the Palm Prē. I can understand why people who have never used wireless charging would be skeptical. Maybe it's just something you have to experience for yourself. Sent from my The New iPad using Tapatalk

The important thing I feel reviews are forgetting: Updates

And that reminder may have just helped me make up my mind. I've been considering the Note 2, the Lumia 920 and the Nexus 4. Android 4.2 has features I really, really want and would use (like lockscreen widgets, expanded Google Now, built-in gesture typing and new camera UI.) Will the Note 2 get...

    LTE Poll Question

Joshua mentioned the lack of LTE on the iPhone 4S several times in The Verge's review. One example is in the conclusion: "The lack of LTE, a larger display, or a new design may put off some buyers, but that won't change the fact that the 4S is a force to be reckoned with." Also, under the "Bad...

Why The Nexus 4? When It Came To Details Google Did Not Disappoint.

I'll be replacing my iPhone 4 soon, and the Lumia 920 and Galaxy Note 2 have been trading spots at the top of my wish list for weeks. Then Google announced the Nexus 4, and suddenly it has zoomed to the top spot. Looking forward to reading the reviews. Sent from my The New iPad using Tapatalk

And what about the 32GB and 64GB Note 2

Is it fair to say that it can't be done out of the box? Because that's truly the point. If you have to root and mod the kernel to do it, that's still a significant caveat. Sent from my The New iPad using Tapatalk

Anyone think we will be seeing larger capacity Note 2 soon

The cloud is not the best answer for everything. Moving data to and from the cloud is slower than local access, and it uses your data allotment. Recent server outages are also a good argument for not relying too much on the cloud.

Anyone say "no" to iPhone 5 and "yes" to Note 2?

My greatest mistake was reading Note 2 reviews. I had been looking forward to upgrading from my iPhone 4 to a Lumia 920, and I guess that's still my plan. But now I'm more excited about the Note 2. I almost wish the Note 2 would stop generating such positive reviews! Sent from my The New iPad...

Will AT&T get titanium gray ONLY?

It's impossible to overstate how incredibly awesome it is to be in the SEC instead of the dumpster fire that is the Big12. Every week has been a huge game. We're anticipating a really tough game in Starkville. Hopefully it won't snow for this year's matchup. 😉 Hope State beats 'bama this...
