    Great walk through. Thanks from a new Android user. I look forward to hearing if there are any significant performance improvements. Q- when you root the phone, does this prevent you from getting and over the air updates for Android system or other apps? Thanks again.

    Thanks for the reply. Not sure I'm ready to root it yet. Just a newbee on Android. Came over from PalmOS. Looking for a setting so the only sounds are for calls and message notification. :-\
