Not true. I am on VZW and have the issue (and have seen many others on VZW report it), I have seen AT&T, Tmo, and Rodgers folks talk about, etc.

I tried to find ways to recover things on mine but if it doesn't even stay on in any mode (incl safe mode and fastboot) then you're pretty much SoL. Luckily at least my contacts etc are backed up in my Google account. Sent mine in for repair last week and accepted I would loose a ton of stuff...

Hate to say it but I've seen many, including myself say the same thing only to be hit by the issue not long after. It's like they built a self destruct timer in there. Hopefully you ll have more luck. Posted via the Android Central App

Okay I figured Sprint or Tmo as they appear to be the only two acknowledging the problem. Wonder if anyone on Big Red had any success getting a new one through them rather than getting a refurb or having to send it to LG like I did. Kinda pissed off this is seemingly being covered...

What carrier are u on? Had to send mine to LG since VZW refused to issue a new phone /recognize this is a problem even though there are tons of posts etc about it across the web. So much for customer service. Posted via the Android Central App

Aye. Mine is at LG right now to be repaired. Since VZW couldn't promise I'd get a newer built device (it d be a refurb) I decided to have LG replace whatever needs to be replaced with properly fixed parts. ? Pretty ridiculous for a phone that's barely 6 months old. Posted via the Android...

Probably complete placebo but I haven't really had any missed touches since installing this. I usually really notice when typing (using SwiftKey), but so far so good. Posted via the Android Central App

Doubt this is just the stagefright fixes considering the size. It's probably more like AT&T s update and includes other improvements. Posted via the Android Central App

Hopefully it's not a placebo but the phone definitely seems snappier. Some of the hesitation is gone. Touchscreen is too early too tell but ive gotten used to it too so not sure if I could truly tell a difference. Posted via the Android Central App
