I'm still using my Moto X 2013 with its reasonably sized screen and loving it — burn-in strip, four-hour battery life and all. Every year I think I'm going to move to new X/Z, and every year just xipz on by.

Have had it installed for 24 hours with no real change in performance or battery life.

Re: "Android is Starting" "Optimizing App x of xxx" With Restarts of the phone 5.1 Verizon I was able to trigger the optimation with an eight-second long press of the power button. I know it doesn't help with the random reboots, but at least here's something to avoid.

I use Notification Toggle. It's free and duplicates the quick settings bar.

Same here. I think it's a little closer on the X-13, but I've always used The Force on mine.

Whatever happened to all those pre-release claims that 5.0 would work well on even low-end devices? All the reports of performance on Nexus hardware are disheartening.

Check the newsfeeds for the report that the 2013 chipset is responsible for the Lollipop delay. Having cut the landline cord in 1999, I can say one thing that I've learned is always buy a phone for the software it has -- not what it may/should get. I'm OK with eventually getting Lollipop, but...

My camera had a severe yellow cast in low-light, and this update seems to have resolved much of that issue.
