This is a known problem on AOSP roms. NFL Mobile and MyVerizon don't work on these roms. If that's a deal-breaker, those apps do work on a number of different Sense-based roms.

I had the same problem with a couple of themes. I sent a note to the developer of one of those themes but never heard back. I've just switched to a different theme that doesn't cause that problem. Not sure what the deal is though--they worked just fine under 3.0.
