This just started happening on my Note 3 (tmo). Any solutions offered up yet?

Is there a trick to pressing one of the keys at the correct time? I've tried 3 times now and by the time I see the message prompting me to press the power/vol up/vol down key the phone is already re-booting. How the heck did you guys get the key pressed in time? Must be my 60 year old reflexes...

I once had a cool Droid Bionic. I played like a kid with a toy on it. But one fateful day, It got in the way, And now my Bionic won't play. I am so sad and I miss my phone...I don't have anyone to play with...I think a Nexus 7 would make me happy.
