"launch remote" button
Reboot your phone (hold power button down until it shuts off, then restart). Go into system/applications/application manager and uninstall or disable "Peel Smart Remote." At least that did it for me on the Galaxy S6/Verizon.- drderbydog

How to get rid of the "Quick Remote" Button?
On my Samsung Galaxy S6 the app is called "Peel Smart Remote" under the application manager in system. I am on Verizon and could not uninstall it, but I was able to disable it.- drderbydog
