Thanks, I don't think they ever solve anything. I'll wait till someone comes up with a workaround.

I would like to see something to address this as well. It covers notifications while on call. It only happens if you go to the home screen or turn off screen while on call, then it appears in the notification bar.

So, I found the culprit. It's an APP Lock app that I use to only lock a 3rd party text app I have. It didn't affect the S8 I had, but it does this one. So I just need to find a different APP Locking app. Thanks for all your help. Just for the record, this is the one causing the issue...

Ok, well I was able to eliminate Nova by selecting the stock launcher after coming out of Safe Mode. The issue still exists. I guess I try to troubleshoot the more possible APPS causing this then update what I find. Thanks.

So it works fine in Safe Mode. I wish I could add each APP that's running back in one at a time. Does "Safe Mode" us different system settings? I just want to make sure it's not a system setting that could be causing this.

Yes, I did restart after changing that setting.

When it rings, there is no interaction by me. That's the first thing that happens. Now, if the phone is unlocked, it doesn't present me with that screen.

Good question, I had not even tried that. It does take me to the "answer screen". It's an added step to answer the phone, but it's doable. Would still like to find the cause though...without resetting of course.

None. I was testing a few things but always uninstalled after. Stock AOD and Lock screen. Nova Launcher. But the settings were restored from prior phone.

Thanks for the response. I did just check and no, I don't use that or the Samsung account.
