Why put it face down if you still have to pick it up after activating it? I leave mine face up which I can then hit the power button to wake it if I don't want to pick it up. If I'm going to pick it up, my finger hits the sensor and, presto! It's up and running.

I totally agree. We really don't have a choice. It needs to go back. The liability will be transferred to the owner eventually as every company involved has sent out notices. Samsung, Verizon, Costco. They have all sent me notices. I can't imagine after a while we wouldn't personally be liable...

If I had the choice, I'd go right back to the Note 7 for all the reasons already noted. I miss the s-pen a lot and it is beyond me why the on screen buttons don't disappear. I've never been a fan of them as they eat up screen.

Does the stock email allow for peak and off peak fetching of email? That drove me nuts when I had the 5x. I like that feature on Samsung. I'm going to truly miss my Note 7. Loved everything about it. I'm sad to read that there aren't as many functions with the stock Android camera app.
