FREE $20 Best Buy Gift Card from Android Pay

Bought a can of ice tea from Walgreen's for 50¢ this morning. First time using Android Pay and it was super quick and easy. I think it being faster than reading the chip in the new credit cards may help its adoption. Still waiting for the best buy gift card.

New features and bug fixes on 6.0.1

The annoying notification whenever I was in range of a stored WiFi access point that needed an additional login has been fixed. At least I think it has.

    Disabling Google Hangouts.

I had a similar issue a while ago. Turned out my SMS messages got corrupted when I restored from backup. Didn't matter hangouts wasn't the default for SMS. Have you done any SMS backups and restores on your device recently?

New features and bug fixes on 6.0.1

If you're running 6.0.1, see anything new? I like how you can now press the power button twice to quickly access the camera. The vibration is a bit much though. The cut and paste delays are now fixed. The new emojis are there but most people I know have older versions of Android and will...

Curious: Is Anyone pushing the 6.0.1 OTA?

Re: Curious: Is Anyone pushing the 6.01 OTA? I got the OTA notification for 6.0.1 just now when I switched back to WiFi and checked for the update. I am on MRA58N which I had to manually flash to last month. I'm on T-Mobile. Don't know why this update came so fast but I'm not complaining.

"OK Google", Personal Results, Alarm Clock after 5.1

Still not fixed on the Nexus 6 on Marshmallow. No trusted voice option either. No acceptable workarounds that I'm aware of. On my wish list to be fixed on Android 6.1.

Nexus 6 Headphone Issues (when plugged in)

I only tried playing a YouTube video on speaker, and then when I plug in my earphones the video pauses for a second and the sound switches to the earphones. Are you saying the sound stays muted for you?

    Would you leave the Nexus??

Since I only choose to buy a new smartphone ever 2 to 3 years, and I like the enhancements and features of new versions of Android, I'm pretty much sticking with Nexus phones until Google figures out a way to independently push updates.

TMO WiFi calling breaks WiFi data

I really don't need WiFi calling so keeping it disabled for now is not a deal breaker. If T-Mobile ever approves a newer update I'll try that.

TMO WiFi calling breaks WiFi data

I'm noticing a strange bug and wondering if anyone else has experienced this. On Marshmallow, when I have WiFi calling enabled with WiFi Preferred set, the phone locks into WiFi calling mode instantly. However my WiFi data gets disrupted as a result. Various web sites and apps that use...

    Robin's Google Nexus 6 Thread

Re: Drippler didn't write a very nice review The article is actually from androidpit.com if anyone wants to read it without installing drippler. But don't bother as its a crappy article with the author ranting about some minor points that are either subjective or inaccurate. Plus these tech...

    Visual Voicemail on Marshmallow

Looks like one of the new features of Marshmallow is native visual voicemail. I think it's only active on T-Mobile so far and it seems to be working for me. All voicemail is downloaded to the dialer app and its synced with the carrier voicemail system. It's okay but not as good as Google...

What would you like to see fixed in Marshmallow 6.0.1?

Only had Marshmallow installed for a few days so far so my list will likely grow: - okay Google commands still don't work with locked screen. (Snooty "actually I can't do that" response) - A WiFi network that needs an additional login acknowledgment vibrates phone and sounds an alert. Very...

Marshmallow is installed 0n 0.3% of Devices!

Ideally, Google would have control over the updates to all android phones, but that's not feasible as of yet. But maybe some day Android will evolve to the point where OEMs and Carriers can mess with the UI and features, but Google has full control and access to update their OS quickly. You...
