Have you installed 4.2.2 update? It started happening to me after update. I assume it's some kind of problem with the sensors. Constantly detects changes in front of the phone (even though the phone area hasn't changed). Not sure how to fix it...wait for another update?

When power saver is off it's no longer on the notification bar. You can switch off facebook photos from the gallery as well.
