The camera isn't great that's for sure. I've been playing with the settings and haven't found anything yet that makes a noticeable difference. At this point the camera is the only disappointing thing about the z2p, but by no means is it a deal breaker.

After more than ten days with this phone I'm loving it. Great battery life and smooth operation. I am so happy to have The Moto notifications back. I don't miss the nexus 5x one bit.

Day 1 with the Z2 play. Coming from a nexus 5x. Had the original Moto x and Moto x 2014. So far loving this phone. Didn't realize how much I love the Moto platform.

Thanks for the tip. I had a similar problem where the phone would not connect to data service. Finally I did a factory reset and data started working again. I'm in the burbs of Philly where service is very good, so it should not have been a reception issue.

I'm also coming from a motox 2014. the Amb display works well for me, although I was really used to just doing the waive to see notifications. Overall just a slight adjustment for me, and I'm used to it now.

Ordered Carbon 32GBb on 10/15 directly from Google store. Phone has shipped from IL yesterday (10/21) and showing will be delivered to me in PA tomorrow (10/23). When I ordered the estimated delivery was 10/28-30.

I'm seriously looking at the nexus 5x. My 14 Moto x has crappy phone reception and the camera is awful. I accepted the awful camera because of the near pure android and the promise of quick updates. Now that my 14 MX won't get marshmallow I'm really thinking about the 5x. Love the pure android...

Re: Moto X on Verizon ^^ this. Plus by buying outright I keep my VZW unlimited data plan that I have hung onto by buying moto x phones directly from Moto.

Just got my case on Friday. The order was placed 3/2/15, so 18 days to actually receive it. Quality is good and fits perfectly, though not quite as nice a the poetic case I have for my Note.
