My phone has the exact same issues since a few days ago. The Gingerbread update was about a month ago though. I called the Moto support, they said I needed a master reset which will erease all my apps and pics. Is this the only way to go? My phone is not rooted.

Just so happened I finally received the HDMI dock from Amazon, $89.99 free shipping. Not cheap but I have just plugged in a regular USB wireless keyboard with a built in touchpad, it works so far. I think $90 is worth it so I don't have to hold the phone with the HDMI cable attached...

The current wireless keyboard and the wireless mouse limit the phone use at a desktop. I want to be able to use the keyboard in a couch or in bed:)

Does it mirror everything from the phone onto the HDTV screen? Over at the HTC EVO forum all the rage is the HDMI hack to do this, I thought Atrix has this built in. Any issues? Pics of it in action would be great. Thanks!

Same here other than the wife part, she has the iPhone 4, doesn't give Android phones a chance. I exchanged the Inspire for the Atrix for the better battery life and the Webtop applications. I really miss the user friendly HTC interface, Inspire's nice touch screen and camera too.

Both. Compare to the HTC Inspire the moto UI sucks big time but I will survive, the docking and battery life are what I am going after.

It is called the HTC Media Link. It is available in UK but the reviews are not so good.

The YouTube video you tried, was it a high def video or low res video? Supposedly the phone HDMI port will output in 720p so if the YouTube video is hidef it should be high resolution on the monitor.

Ok I take that as ATT saying we can use WiFi only if we don't have the $45 plan but we will not be forced to have the $45 plan.

1. How much? 2. All cables included or the HDMI cable purchased separately? 3. What apps and services can you have with the HD dock and Webtop other than pics, videos and music on the phone? 4. If I only use them with WiFi, do I must still upgrade to the $45 plan? Thanks in advance.

I was under the impression once the docks are in use, ATT will force you to get the $45 plan. If not I will get this phone and the HD dock. Anyone confirmed with ATT?

So to use Webtop pay up 45 big ones each month first? I can understand ATT wants to charge $45 for a ridiculously little 4GB of data, but why not allow us to use Webtop on a wifi network with the minimum $15 data plan?
