I went ahead and downloaded the free version of Swype. It's been 2 months and the dictionary has not been a problem. It's vastly superior to that of the stock Swype version.

I had this issue too. I had Sync turned off for my phone in general, which consequently applied to my emails. From your home screen drag down the Notification bar and turn Sync on. (It's to the right of 4G button.) Hope this helps.

Definitely flaky. Took me about 3x before the screenshot was taken. The method hasn't changed. just your patience.

Thank you mikefour77 This thing was driving me nuts. Too often if would switch on my 4G with an X on it. all it did was drain my battery than save it. Thanks again for the instructions to disable it.

I've yet to find that perfect phone, but no phone is perfect. I wouldn't buy this phone again. I live in L.A. 4G is slow. LTE on my girls iphone is super fast, but LTE is scarce in this area still. The phone is 2 years old. I'd skip it. I am sure there is something better out there.

I personally use Lookout. scans the phone for malware and viruses, but also locates your phone. It has a feature where you can turn on a high pitch sound remotely to help locate the phone. good stuff. free

I use Handcent. It definitely allows you to change the MMS file size limit. I have it set to less than a 1mb.

To answer your question. I go with 852x480. Fills the screen in landscape.

I never noticed that the screen locked right away. Probably a glitch. As for the 3G dissapearing. I go to Setting/Data Usage... select the Mobile Data to On. For some reason my mobile data turns off randomly from time to time. Hopefully that helps.

I had a backup copied to my SD card a few weeks back using MyBackup Pro. It was really amazing that nothing much apps and contacts were erased. Miracle. I hope this can work for you.
