    I had this issue. My calander stopped working at all. Nothing would save, nothing would show, nothing would sound. Checked my Google settings and fixed it that way.

    We are a samsung family. Other half and I both have s8+, just the one. We have our old phones, but they are not on any lines.

    i just don't understand why people turn off AOD?

    I don't really use it. I was not sold on it when I had the 7, and I am not sold on it with the 8+. My other half uses it and loves it.
