Did you ever resolve this? I have a Samsung TV as well but you cannot remove the youtube app. My issue is I have a phantom "cast to" device which you cannot cast to. how do I remove it?

You don't need to sideload. I created a US hotmail account and then linked it to Apple Store using a US address (90210) and have access to the US store. So log out of apple store, log into US apple store using new account and download whatever software you need... log out of US store and log...
