Good luck. I had the fascinate, but felt that if I didn't try the X I would always wonder. So I did, for a couple weeks and, today I returned the X and am happy to be back on the fascinate. I could have easily been happy with either one, but I'm truly thankfull that they let me trade back...

As another alternative, I can recommend the Titanium Backup Donater version. Its nice to be able to Freeze, and Defrost an app as needed. (AFAIK, it just re-names the .apk as well, but it makes it pretty easy) I used Cory's list as a guide on what was safe to freeze. Thanks Cory.

Install wouldn't go through, and broke root. When it popped up, I deferred it for a day. Did the unlagfix, as well as removed Superuser.apk, busybox, and su. After that update worked fine. Haven't re-rooted yet, going to learn a bit more, and figure out a solid back-up plan first.

Have you tried holding down for a second in a text area and selecting when it pops up?

Switched from the no-longer-free company phone. Spend the better part of the last 5 hours reading, learning, and making up for lost time tweaking. (Not having any kind of "smart" phone for the last couple years.) So far it has been great. Thanks to many of the contributers on this site. ;)
