How to stop random (NOT bootup) "For security purposes enter your password"?

re: How to stop random (NOT bootup) "For security purposes enter your password"? I think it woudl be nice if on the "password required" message, it said what triggered the requirement - face unlock idle timer reached, idle password required - face unlock 24h timer reached, password required -...

How to stop random (NOT bootup) "For security purposes enter your password"?

re: How to stop random (NOT bootup) "For security purposes enter your password"? And thinking about this again.... if I unlock with fingerprint at 8pm, then face unlock at midnight, the shortest biometric unlock finger is then the face unlock, which means the 4 hour idle finger after face...

How to stop random (NOT bootup) "For security purposes enter your password"?

re: How to stop random (NOT bootup) "For security purposes enter your password"? Signed in to comment as well. I use face and fingerprint unlock as well, and smart lock when at home or paired to car Bluetooth, and in the last couple years (galaxy s8 and s9) I would get prompted for password...

Notifications not working when Screen is sleeping ?

This is relatively new behavior on my galaxy s6. I'd say it was during a recent fb.messenger update, but that seems to update nearly daily as of late. I believe this also affects google hangouts. For example, I had a facebook messenger message instantly notify early this morning, but during...

    Galaxy s4 battery life

Are you doing any media streaming with your phone, such as bluetooth streaming audio, or sending audio to another device? Not sure what normally "media server" represents. perhaps google music sync, though I would think that would show up as google music or google services.

    Galaxy s4 battery life

hi vin .. the percent usage is going to be affected by other processes that are using your battery. Others would be at 16% if they were running other services that were consuming more battery. Yours at 35% just would mean that you weren't doing much else. radiocaf - I've found that 'device...

    Galaxy s4 battery life

thanks Radiocaf, good feedback. Got about a 23 hour run with a charge, with 10% left on the battery, very little on screen time. Google Services is back as the primary battery user. I'll give your suggestion about disabling the maps/location/latitude a try, to see if that reduces usage. I...

    Galaxy s4 battery life

So over the last few days, i've left anything gps/location related as disabled. My battery drain still seems higher than it should be, but it's useable. I would think with a larger battery I should still have 70ish percent left at the end of the day (9am->10pm) if i'm not actively using the...

    Galaxy s4 battery life

radiocaf - i've not seen media server using any noticeable amount of battery on mine. As of right now, my phone's been on battery for 15h12m, and my battery is at 67%. That's not bad, but i'd hoped for better. Major users are screen & device idle with 32% and 26% respectively. My battery was...

    Galaxy s4 battery life

I've had my S4 now for about a week - great unit. I've noticed what i consider higher than average battery drain, too. It seems that location based services are consuming a fair amount of battery. For the first few days, (before I had things enabled, such as google now), major battery...
