This was excellent tip! I just wiped the bezel with Soft cloth and mild soap and the 'marks' disapeared completely. So it was false alarm in my case.

I think its just paint or some kind of coating. It scratches even more with a fingernail.

I got my frontier on monday and the bezel has already several marks...
I have not hit it anywhere..
