Same issue here. I have a case and a screen protector. My n5 has survived drops to concrete and kitchen tiles unscathed. However a small drop from waist height onto carpet killed its signal. Most likely antenna fried. Or worse the transceiver.

Re: Nexus 5 No Signal after drop Its attached to the speaker module on the bottom of the phone. 4 simple screws hold it in place. Easily removable and replaceable. If its not the antenna broken, I worry it's the transceiver on the main board.

Its not too difficult, I have all the tools from helping a friend repair her camera glass. Its just a matter of opening the back and switching one part. Problem is I'm not sure if it's actually the antenna broken. I think I'm going to try and get a working N5 and swap the antenna to see if...
