Well, for that matter if baking it doesn't hurt anything I don't see why a heat gun would. I've tried that method multiple times with success. One of my G3s still works after a week (non-continuous use) and the other one I heated at least 5-6 times, and eventually it only lasted a couple hours...

Glad to hear your phone is back up and running!

As in my last post, if you have a heat gun, I would recommend trying that first. I think it's probably a little safer of an option than the oven method. Good luck!

Did anyone ever figure this out? I'm having the same problem now with my Note 4. It doesn't seem to be charging and I can't get it to turn on, not even to recovery mode. I'm thinking about giving in and upgrading to a newer version of Android on my LG G3. I restored my phone to 4.4, but it's been glitchy. I can't use bluetooth in Google Play Music, I have to hit the recent apps button SEVERAL times to even see my open apps to close them, and there are a couple...

I'm having a similar issue with my G3. When I turn on bluetooth, it tells gives me that message that it has stopped. It seems to be only on Google Play Music, because bluetooth works fine when I use my OBD2 scanner on Torque.

I haven't tried a brand new one, but I've tried most of the USB cables that I have. They all work fine on my phone and my other tablet.

I'm sure they would respect my privacy. I would hope so, at least. I tried to connect it to my computer, but it says 0% and it needs to charge more before turning on, then it says the charger is incorrect and I need to unplug before causing damage.

I would, but I like having the apps. I use Facebook somewhat regularly, and I have the ABC app to use on my Chromecast.
