Your keyboard is the same? On a standard US Keyboard, the Backspace is separated by the Backslash Key.

Why does the default virtual keyboard have the BACK (erase) button and SUBMIT buttons next to each other? I've circled this in the attached screenshot. I'm using Android version 9.0 (Pie) - but don't see v9.0 as a category on this forum. This is a poor design choice, and I'm astonished it...
