I had this same problem. I moved 25 or so apps to SD card using AppMgrIII, after restart, these apps seemed (SEEMED) to be no longer installed. I tried to re-download them and my phone (Galaxy Note Edge) appeared stuck, so I, once again, restarted my phone.VOILA! All my "greyed out" apps...
