I actually returned the 8.4. The battery just would not last a full day for me. Verizon just released the LG Gpad 8.3 on LTE. It doesn't have the specs of the SG 8.4 but it better suits my needs. Battery lasts 1.5 to 2 days under normal work load, specs are good and the 4G all the time...

The quality of the movie has a lot to do with it. But 40 to 50 percent looks good in standard home lighting. I have not tested outside yet.

Alright completed testing, as far as I'm concerned anyway. I was using MXpro with hardware decoder active, 100% brightness, WIFI on, Bluetooth on, and GPS on, volume at 50%. 720p mp4 movie on continues loop. I can get rid all the widgets except the one for the calender. I like the calender but with the other widgets gone it leaves 2 blank spaces below the calender and the calender won't go full screen. It's annoying when you can't do what you want.

Re: 1st impressions of the Tab Pro 8.4 Does the the IVSO have the automatic on/off when you close the cover? Had that feature on the Nexus and now can't live without it. Thanks

Re: 1st impressions of the Tab Pro 8.4 I have one of the IVSO cases on another tablet. On mine the metal tab pulled off reasonably easy with no lose of functionality. No guarantee but it might work.

Re: 1st impressions of the Tab Pro 8.4 The black version is now available for order through BB online. Fantastic tab silky smooth. Has anyone been able to find a decent case? BB only had 1 Belkin, OK but no auto on/off.
