Alright, I rigged another battery into the razr and can work around the low battery issue. Unfortunately, the droidrazrutility 1.6 has various failures, though now I have recovery back (I lost it for a while). And the 1.7 utility closes as soon as I "hit any key". Not sure on that one. Now...

Thank you for the suggestions. Unfortunately, after giving the fastboot charging trick three attempts and about an hour total, it still does not come off of the red M splash screen. Any ideas on why it still won't charge?

Alright, that seems to be exactly what happened. But now the phone won't charge. The initial red M splash screen turns on when plugged into the wall, but it doesn't seem to charge. I'd left it like that all night, but it's still too low to use fastboot. How do I charge it? When plugged in...

Safestrap was installed and I used it to reboot my phone, yes. Then it went into recovery mode and I followed the rest of the instructions found here. [Rom] Arctic Hd - DroidRzr.com
